How do I convert a PDF table to Excel without messing up the columns?

Use PDF to Excel with “Tables — clean spreadsheet”. Each table is rebuilt from its lines and alignment, so wrapped descriptions stay in one cell, totals stay in their columns, and numbers arrive as numbers you can sum and sort.

Can it handle a table that continues on the next page?

Yes. When a table carries on over a page break with the same columns, the parts are joined into one sheet and the repeated header row is removed.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Turn on “Recognise text on scanned pages (OCR)” and scanned pages are read first. For best results, straighten crooked scans with Fix PDF layout.
